Of course the newspaper would want people to leave long drawn out individual messages to as many ad placers as possible to run up the meter. But I came up with a standard message that worked well for me. I would call and leave a message like this: Hi I am Fred (not my real name, but I did leave my real name), I am a good looking 33 year old attorney who is searching for a young and attractive young lady who is full of life and enjoys being spoiled…
Can you believe it I do not recall the rest of the message. But that message worked. I got called back by almost every girl I left that message for. And from the little part I did remember you can see why I was called back. Like I said I cannot remember the whole message but I do remember the part about wanting to spoil the girl. That was the part that interested them.
It probably did not hurt that I was a lawyer either; women somehow equate lawyers with lots of money although I never made lots of money as a lawyer. But the reason they called back was because they liked the part about being spoiled. You see women do not want to know what guys want.
